WebAntics Online accepts credit card payments via a secured Payment Gateway solution provided by Paygate ( PayGate is a secure, reliable and easy to use credit card processing facility.

The web Credit Card payment services we use are designed to facilitate 3D Secure processing. You will be required to registered for 3D Secure processing in order to make Debit/Credit card purchases at our store. 3D Secure (MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa) is an online credit card security system provided by MasterCard and Visa and supported by the majority of banks worldwide. When a card has been registered for 3D Secure, the card holder will be prompted to enter an ONE TIME PIN number as identification before the transaction can be processed. We all love the convenience of shopping online but are concerned about the risks that may be involved. This is why technology, such as 3D Secure, has been designed – and protects you while you shop.

Buying online is safer than you think with OTP. It’s designed to give your Credit / Debit Card an extra level of protection against unauthorised use when shopping online. You will now receive an OTP via SMS every time you make a purchase, and this password will only be valid for that transaction.

How does it work? 

  • You can set up Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure and activate your card in just a few minutes by contacting your Bank and asking to register for 3D Secure Online Payments.
  • Once you activate your card, Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure protects you at every participating on-line store
  • When you shop at a participating on-line store, your card will be automatically recognised as protected by Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure
  • When you are completing your purchase, you will be asked for an OTP which you will receive via SMS on your registered cellphone number.

WebAntics Online uses 3D Secure Processing to protect ourselves as well as you, the cardholder, in order to reduce fraudulent transactions both in our shopping store and on your card. Additional authentication and verification using the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode, is required to ensure that an unauthorised user is not using your card for theft of goods and services at our online store. This reduction in fraud results in a reduction in costs which then, in turn, benefits you the customer.

However should you prefer not to register for 3D Secure or make payment, we do offer you the alternative or making payment by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). If you would like to receive a Proforma Tax invoice, please contact our Customer Services Department.

Credit Card Budget Facility.
You have one credit limit, but you can choose between ‘straight’ or ‘budget’ without arranging a separate budget limit. The budget facility is used for purchases and cash advances of R200 or more, that can be repaid over 6 to 60 months.

  • You can buy as many items as you wish on your budget facility, as long you have credit available on your account.
  • The only transactions that cannot be made with your budget facility are purchases of traveller's cheques and foreign currency, progressive payments such as bond instalments, petrol purchases and electronic account payments.
  • Budget instalments must be made in full each month. To make it easy for you to manage, the amount is included in the minimum payment due so that you don't have to worry about making additional payments into your budget facility.
  • Budget purchases are subject to interest from the date of the purchase.
  • Purchases on your budget facility are detailed separately on your monthly statements

Debit Cards 
Called payD, this brand new payment method has been launched after an extensive pilot program. It is simple to use for debit card holders. The first time you use it at checkout, you will enter your MTN or Vodacom mobile number and your Standard Bank, ASBA or Nedbank debit card number. Then enter the pin on the mobile to authenticate the transaction.

Thereafter you just enter your mobile number at checkout and your pin on your mobile. With payD, it is like an ATM transaction and you don't have the usual credit card risks.

Note: This service is currently only available to Standard Bank; Nedbank and ABSA Debit Card customers on the MTN and Vodacom Networks

In order to cover the fees and transactional costs incurred from PayPal (PayPal charges up to 3.9% + USD 0.30 per transaction) and FNB (FNB charges 1,5% of the quoted ZAR amount), we charge an additional 5.0% settlement fee on your total order for all PayPal payments. According to South African Reserve Bank exchange control regulations, all funds received into our PayPal account must be withdrawn within 30 days of receipt and those additional charges are then passed on to the customer to avoid raising prices on our product range.

Should you prefer not to incur the additional transactional costs, you do have the option of selecting one of the many other payment options to avoid this charge. Details on how and where to make payment will be included on your Order confirmation email.
